During this time of prayer and fasting, it’s important to ask the Lord to reveal to you any sin that has not been dealt with. We don’t want anything to hinder our walk with the Lord.
“…whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him” 1 John 3:22 ESV
While we often emphasize prayer, faith and thankfulness, as “mature Christians” it’s sometimes easy to neglect looking at the cobwebs of sin that might be lurking behind our public image of having it all together.
It’s a New Year, and throughout the fast, this is an opportunity to allow the Lord to address old habits and even old ways of thinking that may not be in line with His Word or His plan for your life.
Oh, by the way, don’t forget that, just like sin, our unbelief is not pleasing to Him either (Hebrews 11:6). So that “big thing” you are praying about…you know, the one that feels impossible and completely out of reach. God’s got it under control.
