At this point in the fast, you may have experienced a remarkable move of the Lord in your life. Trust me when I say I am rejoicing with you! Over the last several days, I have experienced a couple of remarkable demonstrations of the Lord’s amazing love and generosity.

In those moments when we see or experience the Lord’s grace, mercy, love and power in a tangible and real way, there can be no question in our mind that He is truly the Most High God. Mere human words can not even begin to adequately describe His awesomeness!

In Exodus 8, we find Moses and Aaron pleading with Pharaoh to release God’s people from slavery. As we all know, Pharaoh did not listen. So in accordance with God’s instructions, Moses and Aaron caused various plagues to befall Egypt. Pharaoh’s sorcerers tried to compete against the power of God and seemed somewhat successful at first. By the third plague, when the gnats were swarming uncontrollably all around every person and animal, Egypt’s magicians couldn’t prevail. They declared to Pharaoh, that the plagues were truly from the finger of God.

Can you imagine? Just one finger of God created a breathtaking demonstration of His great power. Indeed, the Lord works in mysterious ways, and it’s all so that He alone can get the glory.

“Be it as you say, so that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.” Exodus 8:10 ESV

Maybe you have an Egypt-sized issue that has been plaguing you for some time. It may feel like it will take an act of congress or a presidential pardon to resolve the issue, but I want you to know that as you pray and seek the Lord through fasting, He has you, and all that concerns you, in the palm of His hands.

God bless you.
